Wellness Care
Our qualified Wellness Team Members are available 24 hours a day, while respecting your privacy and encouraging your independence. You are not a “number”, and we are happy to help.
Whenever possible, each Resident is interviewed prior to moving in to determine his or her wellness needs and suitability. We want Hallmark to be a good fit for your needs.
Our emergency response system features both necklace pendants and wall alarms, which quietly alert Wellness Team Members via pagers. This provides security and peace of mind, while maximizing your privacy and dignity.
There are lots of “worries” that we can help with too, such as:
- Medication reminders
- Bathing and hygiene assistance
- Escort to meals
- Assistance with dressing and grooming
- Personal laundry
If this sounds like something you could use, ask us about rates and your specific needs.
We also offer increased assistance following an admission to hospital, if you’d like. We know that it’s hard on you and your family after returning from a hospital stay, and we’ll do our best to get you back to your regular self.
Our Team Members can assist you with bathing in this excellent room:
Do you think you need more care than we can provide?
Nursing or care homes, unlike Assisted/Independent Living, are called “Residential Care Facilities”. Residential care is for people who need 24-hour professional nursing care and can no longer be supported in their own homes. For seniors and people with disabilities with complex care needs, residential care provides a protective, supportive environment. In our health care system, Assisted Living communities are limited in their scope of care. For example, Assisted Living can't provide a lift for lifting you in and out of a bathtub or bed.
You can contact your local Health Authority, and you can be assessed by a nurse referred to as a ‘Case Manager’, who will help you decide what suits you best. That may be assisted living, or that may be in higher-level residential care. Clients with the highest need and urgency receive priority for the first available, appropriate residential care suite.
